Sopheak began this video diary early in the summer of 2006. He planned to document his life as a refugee from war-torn Cambodia and to explain the meaning of the term, "thug life." However, his summer is ultimately defined by tragedy.

Joseph Mills is a coordinator for the Southeast Asian Young Men's Group (SEAYM) at Asian Counseling and Referral Service in Seattle, WA. The SEAYM program has been creating short video documentaries since 2006, and Joseph has directed and edited many of these projects: "A Clean UA" (2015), "My Father's Cambodia" (2015), "Chanthadeth" (2016), "Meh's Tammakhoung." (2017), "Ramadan" (2019). and "Mixed" (2019).
