  • Sat, June 10, 2017
  • 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
  • OCA-Greater Houston Programs Room, 7001 Corporate Dr, Suite 215A, Houston, TX 77036

Please join OCA-Greater Houston, friends, family, and community partners on June 10th from 11:00am-12:30pm at OCA-GH's Programs Room (7001 Corporate Dr, Suite 215A, Houston, TX 77036) as we dive into the issue of mass incarceration.

We are pleased to invite Ben Wang, director of “Breathin: The Eddy Zheng Story” and co-director of the Asian Prisoner Support Committee to present and lead our discussion. We will be examining the disproportionate incarceration of minorities in the United States, methods to help protect our youth community from engaging in criminal activities, and how to best help those that have been a part of the system.

Our vision for TEA Talks is to build an intentional community of Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) advocates, informed about issues that affect AAPIs both locally and nationally, and grounded in strong relationships that enable effective action, powerful advocacy, and change for our communities.

Follow us on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram - @ocahouston) to keep up with all the action with #TEATalks!

Hope to see you there! Sign up now:
